Cherian, the youngest son of Kurian Thomas, was born on the 6th April 1943. He obtained an M.B.B.S. & M.S. graduation. He served as professor at Kottayam & Thiruvananthapuram Govt. Medical colleges. Known as an eminent doctor, Dr. Cherian retired as the Professor and Director of the Department of Orthopaedics, Thiruvananthapuram Govt. Medical college. While in service, he took leave and worked in Iran for some time. Currently, he is serving as the Chief Orthopedic consultant at S.P. Fort hospital, Thiruvananthapuram. He married Rebecca (Kochumol), daughter of Kottayam Tattunkal Joseph. Rebecca is an M.Sc. (Home Science) graduate. They have a son named Thomas and a daughter named Sara. They are permanent residents of Thiruvananthapuram.
