M.M.Mathai (Koch, 8)

Iype Mathai’s 5th son, M.M. Mathai was a B.A. graduate. He was Assistant Director in the Central Government Cotton Development Board in Mumbai. After his retirement, he settled in Mumbai. He rendered commendable service as member of the Board of Directors of the Andheri Y.M.C.A., Chairman of the Boys’ home and Managing Committee member of Malad St. Thomas Orthodox church. He actively participated in various social and cultural activities in Mumbai. He also served as Managing committee member of the Malankara Orthodox church. Mathai was a handsome man with many talents. He married Lucy, daughter of Thiruvananthapuram Kallath Thomas Paul. They have a son Dileep & daughters, Rebecca (Madhu) and Sudha. Mathai passed away on 27^th September 2001 at the age of 82 and was cremated at St. Thomas Orthodox church, Malad, Mumbai.
