Philipose Kathanar’s 2nd son, Koshi was born in the Malayalam era 1051 (1875-76). He was a big farmer. Koshi who was mighty and healthy, went to Anickad for farming and set up a press for processing sugarcane. He was also very obsessed in hunting. Thrikkothamangalam Pottackkavayalil Aadamma, was his wife. In this marriage, a son named Philipose and a daughter named Rebecca were born. Andamma passed away on 13th July 1904, at an young age. After that Koshi married Akkamma, daughter of Veloor Cherukara Mani. In the second marriage, there was a son named George and daughters named Mariamma and Saramma. From their family house, Koshi and Akkamma along with their children, moved to a house on the south side of the Valiyamannil homestead and settled there. Koshi passed away due to fever on 7th November 1930 at the age of 55.
