K.P.Pothan Sr (Kunjachen, 8)

Pothan Pothan’s eldest son, Kunjachen was born in 1924. He was a good farmer and was very diligent in spiritual matters. He served as a teacher at Marangattu Ecumenical Sunday School. He married Sosamma of the Velloor Panthiruparayil family. Along with her husband, Sosamma actively participated in spiritual activities. She was the president of the Sevika Sangham of Ericadu Moria Marthoma church. As her husband passed away at the age of 44, Sosamma had to take the family burden. Sosamma displayed extraordinary skill in imparting good education to her children and in running the family affairs neatly and orderly. After the death of her husband, Sosamma built a house at Karithinickal homestead and stayed there. They have sons Pothen, John, Varghese, Chacko & daughter Deenamma. Kunjachan passed away on 8^th October 1967 and Sosamma passed away on 5^th August 2011. Both were buried at Moria Marthoma church, Ericadu.
