Fr.P.C.Mathew (Binny Achan, 9)

Chacko’s youngest son, Rev. Mathew, was born on the 29^th December 1959. From childhood onwards, he showed utmost interest in spiritual matters. After B.A. graduation, he completed his theological studies and received the title of priest. He served as the Vicar of various Marthoma parishes in and outside Kerala. He also served for three years as the Vicar of the Marthoma church in Malaysia. Now he is the Vicar of Tabor Marthoma church at Thottackad. Binny Achan is the president of Puthenpurackal Kudumbayogam, after the demise of Kallarackal Philippose Achan. He is one of the two current priests in the Puthenpurackal branch of the Pakalomattom family, which has a priestly tradition. Mathew Achan’s church service and spiritual ministry is a source of pride for the Puthenpurackal family members. Punnaveli Thannimunda Issac’s daughter Elizabeth (Liby) is Achan’s wife. Elizabeth, who is a B.Sc. & B.Ed. graduate, is actively involved in spiritual affairs and parish activities. They have a daughter named Arpita, who is a primary school student.
