Jacob Varghese (Kunjukoch, 7)

Varghese Jacob’s second son Varghese was born in 1907. Varghese was a businessman. He was one of the founders of Ericadu St. Mary’s Jacobite church. Kottayam Chackalayil C.I. Abraham’s sister, Ammini was his wife. Ammini had an extraordinary skill in the art of cooking. Therefore Ammini helped in preparing delicious food for all the special functions in the family. Their only daughter, Leelamma was married to George, who was the son of late Judge Itty of Puthuppally Kottarathil family. They used to stay at Perumbavoor for looking after the farmlands there. Varghese died on 4^th June 1951 at the age of 44. He was cremated at Ericadu St. Mary’s Jacobite church. After the death of her husband, Ammini who lived alone in the family house in Karuvallil, spent her old age with Leelamma in Perumbavoor. Ammini died there, on 25^th October 1980. She was cremated in her daughter’s parish church. Leelamma had sons, Mohan, Sabu & daughters, Kunjumol and Sherly. Leelamma and Georgekutty have passed away.
