K.Jacob Varghese (Kunjukochu, 7)

Varghese Jacob’s 2nd son, Varghese was born in 1907. He was a businessman. He was one of the founders of Ericadu St. Mary’s Jacobite church. Kottayam Chackalayil C.I. Abraham’s sister, Ammini was his wife. Ammini had an extraordinary skill in the art of cooking. She prepared delicious food for all the special functions in the family. Their only daughter, Leelamma was married to George, who was the son of late Judge Itty of Puthuppally Kottarathil family. They used to stay at Perumbavoor for looking after the farmlands there. Varghese passed away on 4^th June 1951 at the age of 44 and was buried at St. Mary’s Jacobite church, Ericadu. After the death of her husband, Ammini who lived alone in the family house in Karuvallil, spent her old age with daughter Leelamma in Perumbavoor. Ammini passed away on 25^th October 1980, while staying there. She was buried in her daughter’s parish church.
