K.J.Jacob Sr (Pilla, 7)

Varghese Jacob’s youngest son, Jacob (Sr) after his primary education, was an employee in the famous Swaraj Motor company in Kottayam. Later, he started his own bus service. He was a good farmer. Jacob, who was soft spoken kept a good relationship with his family members. He married Mallappally Kayyalathu Itty Iype’s daughter Rebecca (Kunjunjamma). Rebecca was skilled in the art of cooking. They stayed at the Karuvallil family house. They had a son named Jacob and daughters, Ammal, Susy, Rajamma and Elsy (Kunjumol). Jacob passed away on 9^th April 1983 at the age of 75 and Rebecca passed away on 11^th March 1997 at the age of 82. Both were cremated at St. Mary’s Jacobite church, Ericadu.
