M. Ipe married Aachiamma, who is the daughter of Puthuppally Thonippurackal Vakkayil Cherian. They had sons Mathew, Cherian, Andrews & a daughter Raymol. They moved from the Thekkayil family house to Mundackal house. Aachiamma passed away on 15th February 1986 and was buried at Nilackal Orthodox church, Puthuppally.
