Cherian M.Thomas married Rebecca (Kochumol), daughter of Kottayam Tattunkal Joseph. Rebecca is an M.Sc. (Home Science) graduate. They have a son named Thomas and a daughter named Sara. They are permanent residents of Thiruvananthapuram.
