K.J. Iype married Kottayam Varikattu Valavuchirackal Itty Avara’s daughter Akkamma. They have sons John, Abraham, Baby & daughters Thankamma and Aleyamma (Kunjamma). Akkamma passed away on 18^th May 1984 at the age of 82 and was buried at Moria Marthoma church, Ericadu.
