K.V. Iype married Vakathanam Pathiyapallil Kuriachen’s daughter Aleyamma. They lived in the Kallarackal family house. They have sons, Varghese, Kurian, John, Jacob, Philipose, Isan and a daughter Kunjumol. Aleyamma passed away on 16th April 2006 and was cremated at St. Mary’s Jacobite church, Ericadu.
