C.V. George’s eldest son, George after his intermediate studies lived in Nilambur looking after his father’s plantations. He had to look after the family affairs from an early age. He ran a private bank at Meenadom. He showed a keen interest in public affairs and church activities. He was a kind hearted person who saw the plight of people who were suffering and acted accordingly. He was a public servant who did not hesitate to give help to others and work selflessly, even ignoring his own health. He served as the member and president of Puthuppally Grama Panchayath for many years. He served for a long time as the member of the Board of Directors and President of the Puthuppally Village Co-operative bank. He served as the Chairman of Meenadom Priyadarshini spinning mill. His leadership in the establishment and growth of Thottackad hospital and the launch of the Thottackad Water supply project is quite commendable. He served as the Headmaster of St. Mary’s Bethlehem Sunday school for about half a century. He also gave active leadership in the construction of St. Mary’s Bethlehem Orthodox church and its hall. He married Mallappally Thuruthikkattu Maruthikkunnel late Ninan’s daughter, Mariamma (Kunjumariamma). They lived near Thottackad hospital. They had sons, Anil, Sunil and Jane and daughter Asha. Jane has passed away while he was a college student. George passed away on 16th October 2013 at the age of 81 and Mariamma passed away on 29th May 2004. Both were cremated at St. Mary’s Bethlehem Orthodox church, Thottackad.
