Dr.K.Baby Ipe (Babychen, 8)

K.J. Iype’s youngest son, Baby Ipe obtained M.B.B.S. and did his advanced degrees in Paediatrics and Anaesthesiology from Ireland. He practiced in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Ireland. After returning to Kerala, he served as anesthesiologist & paediatrician in Manganam Mandiram hospital, Kottayam S.H. Medical Centre and Thellakom Caritas hospital. He was the Medical Superintendent of Mandiram hospital for a long time. He also served as the President of Kottayam Rotary club and as the Manager of Ullayam U.P. school. He married Rebecca (Santhi), daughter of Kottayam Uppoottil Issac. Rebecca worked as a teacher & librarian at the Belfast Public Library in Ireland and at the British International school in Hong Kong. She was a teacher at Kottayam Pallikoodam (Corpus Christy) school and Girideepam Bethany high school & also served as the Principal of Mar Baselios public school, Kottayam. They are now living in Kalathilpady. They have two sons, Suman and Isaac. Dr. Baby Ipe passed away on 2nd March 2025 at the age of 83 and was cremated at Moria Marthoma church, Ericadu.
