Philippose’s eldest son, George was born on the 30th May 1944. After graduating in Mechanical Engg., from Thiruvananthapuram Engineering college, he was a lecturer at Kozhikode R.E.C. for some time. Later, he went to the United States of America for higher studies and obtained an M.S. & Ph.D in Industrial Engineering. He served as Professor, Department Head, Director of Graduate Studies and Senior Consultant at the Michigan Technological University and the University of Wisconsin. He married Mary (Santhamma), daughter of Thiruvalla Vazhakoottam Chothiyakadavil Ninan Thomas. Mary was the Senior Research Scientist at Kimberly Clark Operations. They have a son named Joshua and a daughter named Samantha. Joshua is a plus two student. Samantha is doing her graduate studies in the University of Wisconsin.
