Dr.M.I.Andrews (Titty, 9)

M. Ipe’s youngest son, Andrews obtained M.Sc. & Ph.D from Baroda University and worked there for some period. Later, he served as the Professor and Head of the Zoology department of Marthoma college, Thiruvalla. During this period, he also worked on deputation in Nigeria for some time. Andrews, who was a research guide at the Mahatma Gandhi University has published several research papers and is the author of ten scientific books. He was a member of Mumbai Ornithological society and International Committee for Conservation of Nature. He served as the Secretary, Deputy Chairman of Mundakapadam Mandiram society. Now he is the Chairman of the society. He also served as a member of the Malankara Association, member of the Managing committee of Puthuppally Nilackal church, President of Y’s Men’s club and a member of the Ecumenical Fellowship. He writes scientific papers in periodicals. He is also the author of some scientific books. He is actively working in the social, community and cultural fields. Pathanamthitta Kolathu Kochuthundiyil Dr. Chacko K. Cherian’s daughter, Mamy is his wife. Mamy, an M.Sc. graduate also worked as a teacher in Nigeria. They have two daughters, Preethi and Priya.
