Kurian’s eldest son Iype was born on the 18^th July 1929. Besides engaging in agriculture, he ran his own trading company in the bull market. He was an activist of the communist movement. He married Pathamuttam Maliyekarottu Varkey’s daughter Aleyamma. They live in Pampady and have a son named Kurian and a daughter named Salikutty. Iype passed away on 24^th August 2013 at the age of 84. He was cremated at St. John’s Cathedral, Pampady.
