K.J.Jacob Sr (Pilla, 7)

Varghese Jacob’s youngest son, Jacob after his primary education was an employee in the famous Swaraj Motor company in Kottayam. Later he started his own bus service. He was a good farmer. Jacob who was soft spoken, kept a good relationship with his family members. He married Mallappally Kayyalathu Itty Iype’s daughter Rebecca (Kunjunjamma). Rebecca was skilled in the art of cooking. They stayed at the Karuvallil family house. They have a son named Jacob & daughters Ammal, Susy, Rajamma and Elsy (Kunjumol). Jacob passed away on 9^th April 1983 at the age of 75 and Rebecca passed away on 11^th March 1997 at the age of 82. Both were buried at St. Mary’s Jacobite church, Ericadu.
