K.P.Pothan Sr (Kunjachen, 8)

Pothan Pothan’s eldest son, Kunjachen was born in 1924. Kunjachan was a good farmer. He was very diligent in spiritual matters. He served as a teacher at Marangattu Ecumenical Sunday School. He was married to Sosamma of the Velloor Panthiruparayil family. Along with her husband, Sosamma also, actively participated in spiritual activities. She was the president of Sevika Sangham of Ericadu Marthoma church. As her husband died at the age of 44, Sosamma had to take the family burden. Sosamma displayed extraordinary skill in imparting good education to her children and running the family affairs, neatly and orderly. After the death of her husband, Sosamma built a house at Karithinickal homestead and stayed there. They had sons, Pothan, John, Varghese and Chacko & a daughter Deenamma. Kunjachan died on 8^th October 1967 and Sosamma died on 5^th August 2011. Both were cremated at Ericadu Moria Marthoma church.
