K.P.Pothan Sr (Kunjachen, 8)

Pothan Pothan’s eldest son, Kunjachen was born in 1924. Kunjachan was a good farmer. He was very diligent in spiritual matters. He served as a teacher at Marangattu Ecumenical Sunday School. He married Sosamma of the Velloor Panthiruparayil family. Along with her husband, Sosamma actively participated in spiritual activities. She was the president of the Sevika Sangham of Ericadu Marthoma church. As her husband died at the age of 44, Sosamma had to take the family burden. Sosamma displayed extraordinary skill in imparting good education to her children and running the family affairs neatly and orderly. After the death of her husband, Sosamma built a house at Karithinickal homestead and stayed there. They had sons, Pothen, John, Varghese, Chacko and daughter Deenamma. Kunjachan passed away on 8^th October 1967 and Sosamma passed away on 5^th August 2011. Both were cremated at Moria Marthoma church, Ericadu.
