K.T.Pothen (Pothachen, 7)

The youngest son of Varghese Thomas, Pothen was born in 1930. After obtaining a B.Sc. & B.Ed degrees, he served as Mathematics teacher at Pampady M.G.M. high school for a long time. He was an accomplished teacher. He served as the trustee of Ericadu St. Mary’s Jacobite church. He was a person who genuinely loved and helped others. He married Sosamma, who was the daughter of Ranni Kurudamannil Thomas. They lived in the Kuzhiyadithara family house. They have sons, Thomas and George. Pothen died on 17^th October 1989 at the age of 59 and Sosamma passed away on 25th December 2024 at the age of 93. Both were cremated at Ericadu St. Mary’s Jacobite church.
