K.T.Pothan (Pothachen, 7)

The youngest son of Varghese Thomas, Pothan was born in 1930. After obtaining a B.Sc. & B.Ed degrees, he served as Mathematics teacher at Pampady M.G.M. high school for a long time. He was an accomplished teacher. He has served as the trustee of Ericadu St. Mary’s Jacobite church. He was a person who genuinely loved and helped others. He married Sosamma, who was the daughter of Ranni Kurudamannil Thomas. They live in the Kuzhiyadithara family house. They have sons, Thomas and George. Pothan died on 17^th October 1989 at the age of 59. He was cremated at Ericadu St. Mary’s Jacobite church.
