K.T.Zachariah (Kariachen, 7)

Varghese Thomas’s 2nd son, Zachariah passed B.A. & L.T. gradation and served as a teacher in Puthuppally High school for a long time. He was one of the founders of Adhyapaka Urban Co-operative bank and was its president. An exemplary teacher and a good orator, he was godly too. He gave special encouragement and assistance to provide education to his brothers. Kaipattoor Valiyaveettil George’s daughter Thankamma was his wife. Thankamma passed away on 9^th July 1941. Later he married Thiruvalla Mepral Poothiyottu Abraham Kathanar’s daughter Annamma. She was a Doctor. They built a house at Karuthinickal and stayed there. They had a son named Randy and daughters Mareena and Elizabeth (Evelyn). Zachariah passed away on 22^nd August 1992 at the age of 84 and Annamma passed away on 4^th April 2002. Both were buried at St. Mary’s Jacobite church, Ericadu.
