Pothan Pothan Sr (Kunjappan, 7)

Pothan, the second son of Varghese Pothan was born in 1895. He bought his own land in Pampanar and started farming. One cattle rearing center was also established there. He married Unnichiyamma of the Kottayam Panampunnayil Thondukuzhiyil family. They had sons, Pothan and Chacko & daughters Innamma and Mariakutty. Both the daughters died of pneumonia at a young age. Pothan died in 1935 at the age of 40. Pothan joined the Marthoma church. However, like his fathers, he was cremated in the Puthuppally Valiyapally cemetery. Unnichiyamma has also passed away.
