M.M. Mathai’s eldest daughter, Rebecca obtained M.A. & B.Ed. degrees. She was a college teacher in Mumbai and Kuwait. Her husband is Jerry Popli, who is the son of Ernakulam Pappaly Joseph. Jerry worked as the Deputy Divisional Manager of Syndicate Bank in Mumbai and also as a Senior Manager at various banks in Kuwait and Muscat. They are now settled in U.S.A. They have two daughters, Aparna and Sneha.
