Fr.P.C.Mathew (Binny Achan, 9)

Chacko’s youngest son, Fr. P.C. Mathew showed utmost interest in spiritual matters from his childhood itself. After B.A. graduation, he completed his theological studies (B.D.) and became a priest. He served as the vicar of various Marthoma parishes in and outside Kerala. He also served for three years as the vicar of the Marthoma church in Malaysia. Now he is the Vicar of Salem Marthoma church, South Pampady. He has been the President of Puthenpurackal Kudumbayogam, after the demise of Kallarackal Philippose Achan. He is one of the two priests in the Puthenpurackal branch of Pakalomattom family, which has a priestly tradition. Binny Achan’s church service and spiritual ministry is a source of pride for the Puthenpurackal family members. Punnavely Thannimundakkal C.M. Issac’s daughter Elizabeth Mathew (Liby) is Binny Achan’s wife. Elizabeth, who is a B.Sc. & B.Ed. graduate is actively involved in spiritual affairs and parish activities. They have a daughter named Arpitha.
