Mathai’s eldest daughter, Sherly obtained B.A. & B.Ed. graduation and worked as a teacher in Dubai. Currently she is working as a school teacher in Chennai. She was married to John, the son of Thiruvalla Kellal Mohan Villa Varghese. He worked as a Marketing Manager in a company in Dubai. They have a son named Deepak and a daughter named Divya.
