M.M. Kurian married Kottayam Eeralassery Eapen’s daughter Sosamma (Kunjamma). They moved from their family house to Puthenpura. They have a son named Babu and a daughter named Mercy. Sosamma died on 21^st September 2009 at the age of 92 and was cremated at Puthuppally Nilackal Orthodox church.
