M.K. Babu married Sosamma (Molly), daughter of Thiruvanchoor Kalappurackal Chorattil Thomas. Molly, who obtained B.A. & B.Ed. graduation was also a teacher in Thiruvanchoor P.E.M. higher secondary school. She retired from there in 2004. They lived in their family house at Puthuppally. They have a son named Moby and a daughter named Shiby.
