T.J.John (Koch, 7)

Iype Yohannan’s 3rd son, John was born in 1908. After graduating in Agriculture Science from Nagpur University, he worked in the Agriculture Department of Orissa and Kerala. He retired as Additional Director from the Department of Agriculture, Kerala. He is accredited as an Approved valuer qualified to determine the value of properties for collection of taxes by the Government of India. He was a management committee member of Manganam Mundakapadam Mandirams. He also served as the Trustee of Ericadu Moria Marthoma church. As part of social welfare activities of the church, he worked as the convener of the scheme for providing free materials to poor children every year. His 1st wife was Kottayam Thykkadavil Saramma. Saramma passed away in 1945. Later, he re-married Kozhencherry Kalathinal Thankamma. He had daughters, Nirmala and Jaimol from the first marriage & daughters Valsa, Susheela, Laila, Shaila and Shirly in the second marriage. John passed away in 1995 at the age of 87 & Thankamma passed away in 1984. Both were cremated at Moria Marthoma church, Ericadu.
