T.J. Mathew married Vakathanam Ennasseril Mangalath Ammini. They lived in the family house at Ericadu. They have sons, John, Abraham, Iype & daughters, Ashly and Sybil. Ammini passed away on 23^rd April 2011 at the age of 89. She was buried at Moria Marthoma church, Ericadu.
