T.J. Mathew’s eldest daughter, Ashly obtained M.A.(Sociology) and also obtained Ph.D in the same subject. She was the Professor in Sociology at Mar Athanasius college, Kothamangalam and retired from there as H.O.D. She is currently running her own school, Canadian Central school in Puthuppady, Muvattupuzha. Her husband is Muvattupuzha Pukkunnel Dr. P.V. Joseph. He was the former Medical Superintendent of Mar Baselios Medical Mission hospital, Kothamangalam & Karuna hospital, Nedumkandom and also the General Surgeon of Lisie hospital, Ernakulam. He founded and served as the Hon. Secretary of I.M.A. He was the Chairman & Manager of Canadian Central School, Puthuppady, Executive Committee member of Mar Athanasius College Association, Board member of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Christian College & Hospital, Kolenchery. They have sons, Thanush, Roshan & daughter Nishatha. Dr. P.V. Joseph passed away on 22nd May 2025 at the age of 88 and was buried at St. Mary’s Jacobite church, Karakkunnam, Muvattupuzha.
