T.J. Mathew’s eldest daughter, Ashly obtained M.A.(Sociology) and also obtained Ph.D in the subject. She was the Professor in Sociology at Mar Athanasius Arts college, Kothamangalam and retired from there as H.O.D. She is currently running her own Canadian Central school in Puthuppady, Muvattupuzha. Muvattupuzha Pukkunnel Dr. P.V. Joseph is Ashly’s husband. He was the former Medical Superintendent of Mar Baselios Medical Mission hospital, Kothamangalam & Karuna hospital, Nedumkandom and also the General Surgeon of Lisie hospital, Ernakulam. He founded and served as the Hon. Secretary of I.M.A. He was the Chairman & Manager of Canadian Central School, Puthuppady, Executive Committee member of Mar Athanasius College Association, Board member of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Christian College & Hospital, Kolenchery. They have sons, Thanush and Roshan & daughter Nishatha. Dr. P.V. Joseph passed away on 22nd May 2025 at the age of 88 and was cremated at St. Mary’s Jacobite church, Karakkunnam, Muvattupuzha.
