T.J. Mathew’s eldest daughter, Ashly has obtained M.A.(Sociology) and also obtained a Ph.D in the subject. She was a Professor at Mar Athanasius college, Kothamangalam and later became the H.O.D. After retirement, she is currently running her own school, Canadian Central school in Muvattupuzha. Muvattupuzha Pukkunnel Dr. P.V. Joseph is her husband. Dr. Joseph served as a surgeon in Lisie hospital, Ernakulam. They have sons, Thanush, Roshan and a daughter Nishatha.
