Mathew’s eldest daughter, Ashly has obtained M.A. and Ph.D. She was a professor at Mar Athanasius college, Kothamangalam. After retirement, she runs her own school in Muvattupuzha. Muvattupuzha Pukkunnel Dr. Joseph is her husband. Dr. Joseph is serving as a surgeon in Muvattupuzha. They have sons, Thanush, Roshan and a daughter Nishatha.
