Pothan Kuruvilla (Kujunju, 7)

Varghese Pothan’s eldest son, Pothan Kuruvilla was born in 1884. He was a good hunter and craftsman. His main focus was in agriculture and fishing. He had a great sense of humor and had extraordinary ability in conversation and elocution. Thottackad Olikkara Pothachen’s daughter, Aleyamma was his wife. They had sons, Pothan, Aachappan (Pothan Pothan Jr), Abraham and a daughter, Aleyamma. Achappan and Aleyamma died of Typhoid, before reaching middle age. The mother, Aleyamma, also died in her middle age. Kuruvilla died in 1968 at the age of 84. All of them were cremated at Ericadu St. Mary’s Jacobite church.
