Pothan Kuruvilla (Kujunju, 7)

Varghese Pothan’s eldest son, Pothan stayed at Kaithayil homestead. He was a good hunter and craftsman. His main focus was in agriculture and fishing. He had a great sense of humour and an extraordinary ability in conversation and elocution. Thottackad Olikkara Pothachen’s daughter, Aleyamma is his wife. They have sons Pothan, Aachappan (Pothan Pothan Jr), Abraham & daughter Aleyamma. Achappan and Aleyamma died of Typhoid, before reaching middle age. Their mother, Aleyamma also died in her middle age. Kuruvilla passed away in 1968 at the age of 84. All of them were buried at St. Mary’s Jacobite church, Ericadu.
