K.Varghese Jacob (Yacob/Pachan, 6)

Pothan Varghese’s 3rd son, Jacob settled in the Karuvallil homestead. It is his descendants that belong to the Karuvallil Sub-branch. Jacob after passing his matriculation did not accept any jobs. Rather he engaged in family and agriculture activities as per his father’s wish. He was an art lover who showed great interest in Drama, Kathakali and Margamkali. He was a long lived and vigorous father. He married Manjathuruthel Vazheparambil Avarachen’s daughter, Accamma. They have sons Abraham, Varghese, Jacob & daughters Sosamma (Kunjupenn), Rebecca (Erppukkamma), Aleyamma (Elimma), Mariamma (Kunjumariamma) and Akkamma (Kunjakkamma). Jacob passed away on 14^th March 1953 at the age of 84 and Accamma passed away on 17th August 1947 at the age of 74. Both were buried at St. Mary’s Jacobite church, Ericadu.
