K.K.Abraham (Avarachen, 8)

The sons of Kaithayil Pothan Kuruvilla, K.K. Abraham and Pothan Pothan Sr moved to the Pappalaparambil homestead. It is their descendants that belong to the Pappalaparambil Sub-branch. Pothan Kuruvilla’s third son, Abraham was born on the 27^th September 1918. Abraham, who completed his intermediate studies, also studied surveying. While serving as a surveyor, he settled in the family house in order to support the family. Later, he concentrated on agriculture and also provided free services to the locals in survey related matters. He also participated in spiritual activities with great interest. At Ericadu St. Mary’s Jacobite church, he has done holy services along with Kallarackal Achan. He has served as the Trustee and Sunday School Headmaster of the church. He served as the Treasurer of Puthenpurackal Kudumbayogam, for a long time. He married Kuzhimattom Madathiparambil Aleyamma, a member of the ancient Kuttanchira family of Puthuppally. They have sons, Varghese, John, Pothan and daughters Sosamma (Susy), Elsy and Eleena (Elamma). Abraham died on 6^th July 2002 at the age of 84. Aleyamma died on 26^th May 1993. Both were cremated at Ericadu St. Mary’s Jacobite church.
