Pothan Varghese’s eldest son, Kurian married Akkamma of Puthuppally Thonippurackal Vakkayil family. Kurian died in his middle age. They had no children. After the death of her husband, Akkamma returned back to Thonippurackal family. She was later married to Puthuppally Manjathuruthel family.
